Sandblasting & Painting

A fabricated product that arrives on site unfinished or with surface prep that wasn't done properly creates problems that are expensive to fix after the fact. Rust forms under a coat of paint that was applied over contaminated steel. Coatings fail early because the surface wasn't prepared to the right standard. Equipment that should last years starts showing wear before it's even broken in.

Sandblasting and painting are completed in-house at Goldridge on every project we manufacture. When your product leaves our facility, it's been surface prepared, primed, and painted, ready to install and operate, and protected for the work it's going to do.

There's no coordinating with a separate finishing yard. No waiting on a third party to complete the final step. The same team that fabricated your product sees it through to a finished coat of paint.

Page Summary
  • Sandblasting and painting completed in-house in a dedicated spray booth on every project.
  • Every project is sandblasted before paint is applied for proper surface preparation.
  • Paint specification: primer systems, topcoats, and colour, matched to your requirements.
  • No third-party finishing yard. Sandblasting and painting stay under one roof.

Surface Preparation First

A coating is only as good as the surface it goes on. Sandblasting removes mill scale, rust, and surface contaminants from fabricated steel, giving the coating a clean, prepared surface to bond to properly.

Every project that goes through our finishing process is sandblasted before paint is applied. Proper surface preparation determines how long the finish lasts.

Paint Specified to Your Requirements

Paint specifications vary by application, environment, and end use. What protects a structural steel assembly in a construction environment isn't necessarily the right system for agricultural equipment that operates in the field year-round.

We work to your paint specification, down to the primer systems, topcoats, and colour, and apply them in our dedicated spray booth. If you need guidance on what's appropriate for your application, we'll work through it with you.

Part of Every Project at Goldridge

Sandblasting and painting are applied to every product and service Goldridge manufactures that require them: structural steel, OEM components, agricultural equipment, oil and gas fabrications, precast batch plant facilities, and custom builds.

Every product that leaves our facility has undergone the same surface preparation and painting process following the agreed-upon specification.
